Russia also has banned Facebook, Twitter
The Russian government on Monday reportedly made good on its vow to ban Instagram, making the social media platform inaccessible to the vast majority of the country’s population.
The ban was reported by several news outlets including the tech news outlet The Verge, based on information from the internet monitoring service GlobalCheck.
Russia had vowed for days to ban the picture and short-form video platform, following similar bans on Twitter and Facebook, as residents search for information about that country’s weeks-long invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
