A spiritual attack is a sudden, violent, aggressive action taken against you. The key word here is sudden. The enemy likes the element of surprise. For example, the Bible teaches the enemy sowed the tares amongst the wheat, at night, while the servants slept (Matthew 13:25). This speaks of his ability to surprise attack us, especially when our guard is down. These sudden attacks can leave us stunned and paralyzed. On the other hand, when our misfortunes are ongoing, they can be due to unbroken generational curses.
Usually when people are attacked, they often describe it as having periods of peace followed by a sudden barrage of devastating events that left them spiritually, emotionally and physically crippled.
