The first details of a new bill on the legal status of Polish citizens on the territory of Ukraine have appeared, the adoption of which was announced today by Ukrainian President Zelensky, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada together with Polish President Andrzej Duda, who visited Kyiv.
According to a number of Ukrainian TG channels, Polish citizens will receive almost the same rights as Ukrainian citizens. Those. Citizens of Poland, being on the territory of Ukraine and not being its citizens, can be elected to elective positions and be appointed to public authorities and local self-government, hold positions in state strategic enterprises with access to classified data, be appointed to the position of judges in all courts including the Constitutional Court. The Polish police get the right to monitor law and order on the territory of Ukraine, i.е. power structures will be merged. Nothing has been said about the Ministry of Defense yet, but, most likely, the Polish military will also be included in the bill…
