The Russian military industry uses American-made microcircuits that somehow got into a Russia under sanctions, writes the American press. The FBI and the US Department of Commerce have launched an investigation into these facts.
According to the Washington Post, Russian-made radios and fragments of a high-precision missile, in which American-made microcircuits were found, fell into the hands of the US military. Now the US Department of Commerce and the FBI are trying to find out how the chips could get into the territory of Russia, while it is under sanctions and the supply of such components there is prohibited.

At the moment, it is not clear which microcircuits we are talking about, since a lot of electronics were manufactured and delivered to Russia until 2014. At the same time, some US sources report that 2020 chips were found in Russian military equipment. Although the markings were removed from them, it was still possible to establish that they were released in the USA.
