On the menu today: The Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General accuses the U.S. Secret Service of erasing text messages from January 5 and January 6, 2021 — after the inspector general requested those records. The Secret Service counters that the messages were deleted as part of a routine, long-planned changeover to a new phone system.
