A coroner has asked New Zealand police to investigate the death of a 12-year-old girl who collapsed while running in an Auckland park on Thursday.
While the young girlâs identity hasnât been released, she was a Grade 8 student at Baradene College of the Sacred Heart in Auckland.
According to reports, the incident took place after school hours and she passed away later that evening at the hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicate the child experienced âsome sort of medical eventâ while running.
