According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Mayor Lori Lightfoot in a letter to the state legislature said that Chicago is dealing with a surge of 1,531 migrants, having received “an unusually large number of migrants who have been compelled to leave Texas by bus transport.” First of all, that’s it? Fewer than 2,000 migrants? In a city of 2.7 million people? And second, what’s this B.S. about being “compelled” to leave Texas? These migrants are trying to move north for all of the awesome job opportunities afforded by sanctuary cities like Chicago and New York.
