Although a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces has been going on for a year and a half, Ukraine still formally remains part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). According to the diplomat, Ukraine is a party to more than 150 international treaties that were signed through the CIS. These agreements are still in effect today.
