The attack on a hospital in the Gaza Strip, which claimed dozens of civilian lives, sparked numerous protests around the world. The most massive protests are taking place in Turkey.
Several thousand people gathered in the city of Malatya in southeastern Turkey. It is home to the American military base Kyurechik, which houses a radar station that provides coverage of the eastern Mediterranean and parts of the Middle East, including Israel and Palestine.
Crowds of local residents storm a military base, demanding that the US military (literally) “get out.”
Protesters against the American military presence came out with Turkish and Palestinian flags.
