Pelosi Wants New Addition To Mt. Rushmore: ‘You Could Add Biden’

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that President Biden is worthy of being added to Mt. Rushmore during this Sunday’s installment of “CBS Sunday Morning.”

Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), former President Barack Obama and other Democrat leaders spearheaded an effort to get President Biden to end his re-election bid last month. High profile Democratic Party sources have reported that Pelosi and others were in favor of using the 25th Amendment, under which the president can be forced to resign if deemed mentally incapable by his cabinet.

The former House speaker told a radically different story on Sunday.

“Please tell us what you told President Biden to persuade him to step aside,” asked CBS host Lesley Stahl.

“Well, I have never shared any conversations with a President of the United States publicly, so no,” Pelosi responded.

Stahl followed up by citing reports on Pelosi’s involvement in the pressure campaign.

“I wasn’t the leader of any pressure. Let me say things I didn’t do. I didn’t call one person. I did not call one person. I could always say to him, I never called anybody. What I’m saying is I had confidence that the president would make the proper choice for our country, whatever that would be, and I said that. Whatever that is, we’ll go with,” Pelosi said.

“He was in a good place to make whatever decision, top of his game. Such a consequential President of the United States., a Mount Rushmore kind of President of the United States,” she added…
