President-elect Donald Trump cited “common sense” in his endorsement of House Speaker Mike Johnson.
In the run-up to the election of the Speaker of the House, as the 119th Congress kicks off this week, Johnson got the “Complete & Total” endorsement of the incoming 47th president, prompting former Rep. Matt Gaetz to declare that any “resistance” to that decision “is now futile.”
