Former US Attorney Jessica Aber who was found dead Saturday morning in her Virginia home appeared to have succumbed to natural causes, according to authorities.
“At this time, detectives have found no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes,” Alexandria police said in an update Tuesday evening.
The body of the 43-year-old lawyer who headed the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia’s office during the Biden administration was found around 9:20 a.m. by police, leading to a wave of condolences from former and current Department of Justice officials.
A family friend previously told NBC News police believed she died from a medical problem and two ex-senior Justice Department officials also told the outlet local law enforcement didn’t believe foul play was involved…
