Russia and the DPRK will be connected by a new automobile bridge across the Tumannaya River, construction of the facility has already begun. The construction was launched by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and DPRK Cabinet Chairman Pak Thae Son.
Moscow and Pyongyang have decided to connect the countries with another bridge across the Tumannaya River, this time a road bridge. Today, only the railway “Friendship Bridge” operates between Russia and the DPRK, the capacity of which is no longer sufficient for the developing cooperation between the two countries. The new structure is designed to raise the transport and logistics infrastructure to a new level, as well as significantly increase the volume of transportation, including passenger transportation, and reduce transportation costs.
