A former Coast Guard officer has been arrested and faces federal charges for allegedly making numerous assassination threats against President Donald Trump, according to newly unsealed court documents.
Virginia resident Peter Stinson, who served in the Coast Guard as a Lieutenant from 1988 to 2021 and received awards for his sharpshooting skills, is named in the criminal complaint by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for allegedly leveling a host of violent online threats against Trump, ABC News reported.
Prosecutors said Stinson, who was also a FEMA instructor during the same time frame — and “self-identified” ANTIFA member — used his accounts on X and Bluesky to detail threats against Trump from 2020 through the current year, including allegedly talking about how he would “pull the trigger” to get rid of Trump…
