The revamped Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the vaccine schedule, will soon vote on a vaccine containing a preservative Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. previously said possibly caused autism.
The vaccine advisory panel will meet on June 25th and 26th, which includes a presentation on thimerosal (a mercury-containing organic compound) and a vote on a “thimerosal-containing vaccine.”
According to POLITICO, RFK Jr. published a book before serving as health secretary alleging thimerosal likely caused autism and should be banned.
