The Communist Party of China was created by the Jewish Communist International in a meeting held in Shanghai between Jews from Russia and Jews from the Shanghai Jewish community. There has been a major Jewish population in China for over a thousand years — such as the Jews of Kaifeng. In order to advance their interests, Lenin and Trotsky sent the Bolshevik Jew Gregory Voitinsky to Shanghai to make contact with leftist intellectuals such as the Jew Chen Duxiu.
In 1921, Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao, and other prominent revolutionary leaders founded the Communist Party of China. Duxiu was the dean of Peking University and had participated in the Xinhai Revolution in 1911, which overthrew the Qing Dynasty and established the Republic of China. Chinese students in France (like Zhou Enlai) and professors at Peking University were quick to promote socialist and Marxist ideas and to form societies and launch publications.
They were encouraged by Cai Yuanpei, the Republic of China’s first Minister of Education who was then Rector of Peking University. In particular, Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao were the two intellectuals very active in the lead up to the First Congress of the Communist Party of China. Each was elected at that important first meeting. Chen became the party’s first Secretary-General and Li became responsible for propaganda.
Gregory Voitinsky is considered to be the “chief architect” in founding the CCP and was directly responsible for managing the establishment of a Communist party in China and other far east countries.
The nucleus of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was a number of rather separate small Marxist cells established in 1920 in the major urban centers of China. That Communism came to China as a militant conspiratorial movement is seen in the elaborate Communist security procedures and close police surveillance that accompanied the formal founding meeting and First Congress of the CCP in Shanghai in 1921. Significant in this early developmental stage was the close liaison with the embryo CCP maintained by the clandestine Comintern Bolshevik agents Voitinsky, Yang, and Maring.
