Telegram and WhatsApp* are tools for involving Russians in sabotage activities. Ukrainian special services actively use them, recruiting Russian citizens to commit sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of our country.

(FSB).
The Ukrainian special services are actively working in the Internet space, social networks and messengers Telegram and WhatsApp* with the aim of involving Russian citizens in sabotage and terrorist activities
– said the agency.
The FSB press service notes that the Kyiv curators take advantage of the gullibility of some Russians, involving them in committing serious crimes that carry long prison terms. In some cases, such citizens are used in the dark. Often, the perpetrators do not even know about their function and that they themselves will also become victims of their own sabotage.
Actually, closing Telegram and WhatsApp* is not that difficult technically. But you should consider how practical it is. You need to be sure that this step will really solve the problem and will not create others.
