One of the rationales Oregon Democrats have been using to push back against President Trump’s authorization of troop deployment to Portland is that they say he’s using footage of the rioting that happened in 2020 during the George Floyd riots to justify his decision, implying there’s no current footage, which is false.
It’s a theory their mainstream media allies, of course, have floated as well, though at least some of them pointed out that the footage Trump has reportedly seen is not just from the 2020 George Floyd riots but from the unrest and violence Portland has seen near its ICE facility going back at least three months.
