NBC 10 reporter Sue O’Connell accidentally gave a perfect description of the latest round of “No Kings” protests on Saturday, the top-down, highly organized demonstrations aimed at giving the appearance of genuine popular opinion.
Like hundreds of cities across the country, thousands of protesters gathered on the Boston Common for Saturday’s protests. “So we’ve seen this happen in Portland and we’ve seen this happening in Chicago,” O’Connell, who sounded fully supportive of the protests, said while going over the day’s events in studio.
“And people are generally pushing back against what they see the Trump Administration and some Republicans as violent, as dangerous, as hating America,” she added. The reporter then shared that some individuals have began dressing up as “furries in some way. And wearing costumes, and wearing turtle costumes, and wearing elephant costumes,” so that “god forbid, if there was any interaction with law enforcement or with ICE, you have people dressed up, grown-ups, in these kind of silly Halloween costumes…
