As social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok become primary sources of information for many people, misleading weather posts are increasingly going viral, causing public confusion.
Dramatic snowfall maps and predictions of major weather events, often shared by non-meteorologists or “weather-enthusiasts”, can mislead the public about what is real or fake.
