Thursday Evening Chuckle: Marco Rubio Assures Anxious Nation He Is Not Taking Miami Dolphins Coaching Job

Marco Rubio is one busy guy. Not only is he the secretary of state, but he’s the acting national security advisor. Since that didn’t seem enough to keep him occupied, he’s also the acting archivist of the United States. He was even appointed as head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) before the agency was shuttered. These are just the titles we know of — maybe he has even more top-secret ones.

The plethora of official titles has led to months of “Marco realizing” memes depicting him serving in just about every role imaginable. A photographer caught him slumping in a chair looking pretty exhausted, and that has provided limitless fodder for internet creators who have had a field day with the pic.

Some are now even predicting that he will take on the job of the head coach of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins after the team’s coach, Mike McDaniel, was fired Thursday following another lousy season. Rubio put the anxious nation at rest, however, and assured us that — for now, at least — he has no plans to take on that role…
