A ‘bomb cyclone’ could send another powerful storm up the East Coast. Here’s what to expect.

The coastal storm forming off the East Coast could bring strong winds and a few additional inches of snow if it hits the region this weekend.

Meteorologists in the National Weather Service’s Albany office said there is “increasing potential for a significant storm” that could wreak havoc along the Eastern Seaboard on Sunday. Predictive models were uncertain whether it would strike the Capital Region and Hudson Valley or skirt the area altogether.

“We could have strong winds and — if it gets close enough — we could see areas of snow,” meteorologist Christina Speciale said…
