FBI hazmat team swarms Irvine home in gated community

By ABC7 Los Angeles

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) — The FBI descended on a home in a gated community in Irvine Wednesday after police responded to a report of suspicious activity earlier in the week.

Officers initially responded to the scene Monday when a landlord reported “suspicious circumstances” at a residence near Cartwheel and Iluna, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The FBI was then notified and took over the investigation. The federal agency said its Evidence Response Team and Hazardous Evidence Response Team responded to the home at the request of the OCFA.
