We’ve all watched as the Left has twisted the noble American principle of “separation of church and state” into a weapon. It was never meant to erase faith from public life, but to prevent a national religion. Yet, activists have used it as a cudgel to power-wash every trace of our nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage from the public square, especially within the walls of our schools.
This crusade has created a chilling effect, where a student group praying at a flagpole is treated as a constitutional crisis. We were told this was about creating a neutral space, free from favoritism. But as the Left’s control over our institutions tightens, it’s obvious that neutrality was never the goal. A new, far more sinister double standard has emerged, where one faith is scrubbed away while another is given taxpayer-funded VIP treatment. Sound fair? Not a chance.
“The space could be used for prayer, or other student or staff multipurpose needs throughout the day,” executive director of school/community relations Kay Villella said.
This is the pathetic, bureaucratic lie being used to justify the district’s decision to build dedicated prayer rooms and “foot-washing stations” as part of a massive, $375 million renovation. A “multipurpose” prayer room? Perhaps. But a “multipurpose” foot-washing station? What else is it for, washing the soccer team’s cleats? The excuse is an insult to our intelligence. They were caught red-handed catering to one specific religious group, and now they’re trying to lie their way out of it.
The latest proof comes from the heartland, in a story that should outrage every American who was told that prayer has no place in public schools. An official from Minnesota’s Osseo Area Schools tried to downplay the district’s plans this way:
