I did not want to write this.
I had lesson plans to grade. A family of six to feed and put to bed. About fourteen better things to do with my evening, but recent events, a third assignation attempt by a teacher, had me go through my old articles and spoke to me; it is time for updated information.
My name is Mike Bski. Twenty-three years Army combat medic. Deployed to Iraq as a line medic. Paramedic in Cleveland, which if you have ever run calls there, you know is its own kind of combat zone. Started teaching while still in the reserves, working in a high-need, high-risk district where every kid qualifies for free lunch and the public school system had basically handed them a white flag. Published two science textbooks. Father of four.
