NORTH CAROLINA – A North Carolina Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate has confirmed reports of him being engaged in a lewd text message exchange with a public relations strategist based out of California.
It also just so happens to be the case that both this Senate candidate and the woman he was sexting are both married.

Democrat Cal Cunningham recently had some text messages leaked that were shared between him and a woman named Arlene Guzman Todd. Cunningham is also a married man and father of two children, but obviously his wife is not this woman from California.
The leaked text messages appear to have been screenshot from Guzman Todd’s phone, but it’s unclear exactly how these messages were obtained. However, these messages included Cunningham sending the following to Guzman Todd:
“Hey!! And you are historically sexy (kissing emoji). Every day and night.”
Guzman Todd replied to that message with the following:
“When can I see you? I want to kiss you.”
The exchange get’s even more steamy from there, with Cunningham replying:
“And I kiss back. A lot.”
Guzman Todd responds with urging Cunningham to get a meeting set up between the two as soon as possible:
“Get away for a night soon. The longer we wait the crazier fall schedules will get. In the spirit of the ‘I like what I like’ quote on your adorable video, I operate under the ‘I want what I want’…approach and I want a night with you.”

Apparently, Cunningham was on board with Guzman Todd’s sentiments expressed, as he responded with:
“Sounds wonderful – I want that too!! Very badly.”
Spoiler alert – the damning text exchange gets worse in terms of planned infidelity between the two married individuals. Later on, during the exchange, Guzman Todd explains to Cunningham that she’s fairly flexible during the month of the text conversation:
“Well make it easy for you. I have flexibility this month – done with school, training, big RFPs, etc. So the only thing I want on my to do list is you.”
Cunningham replied with:
“Sounds so hot and so fun.”
