Every year it feels like we lose too many beloved actors, singers, and athletes. Of course, 2020 makes everything feel so much worse. Sean Connery, famous for his roles in James Bond films, the Highlander series, and Hunt for the Red October, passed away in his sleep. The famous actor died peacefully in the Bahamas after “not feeling well” for some time.
It’s impossible to deny the effect Connery has had in Hollywood. He’s often the older generations’ favorite James Bond. He also never changed his accent, and he played a Spaniard and a Russian with his well-known Scottish accent. Then there’s the part of Indiana Jones’s father that Connery made famous. That character brought a new dimension of comedy for the franchise and is seen as a positive.
It sounds weird to say… Sean Connery passed… I may not be the biggest Bond fan, but I loved Highlander, The Rock, and who doesn’t like The Untouchables? This isn’t hitting me as hard as Chadwick Boseman’s death did this year or Stan Lee’s death nearly 2 years ago, but I know many that are heartbroken by this news. LRMOnline sends its thoughts, prayers, and best wishes to the friends and family of Sean Connery. Rest in peace Agent 007.
