In the early hours of Sunday, April 14, Iran launched a barrage of drones and missiles into Israel, retaliating for its terrorist attack on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus on April 1 that martyred seven officers of the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, his deputy, General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, and five other military officers.
In the aftermath of the Israeli attack, the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has repeatedly warned that Israel will receive a “slap in the face”, and that the Zionist entity “must be punished and will be punished”.
Russia has unequivocally condemned the terrorist attack on the diplomatic compound of the Iranian Consulate in Syria, describing it as “completely unacceptable”.
Accordingly, with the Operation ‘True Promise’, Iran gave a fitting retribution by targeting the Nevatim airbase in the Negev desert from which the F-35 plane was launched to attack the Iranian Consulate in Syria, the Ramon airbase, and various other military facilities…
