American experts predict the onset of another 30-year supercycle in the world economy in the very near future.
Bloomberg published a forecast based on the so-called “Kondratiev waves” – a concept developed by a Soviet scientist, according to which the global economy is assumed to be cyclical. According to the forecasts of American economists, a new cycle, during which prices for raw materials will grow, will begin on June 30 this year. Based on their analysis, the authors of a Bloomberg article analyzed their spot commodity price index charts, according to which the commodity index showed growth throughout the first half of the 1990s, as a result of which it peaked in 2008, after which it began to fall to values that noted in the early 1990s.
