Amid attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through to the Kursk region, Dmitry Peskov stated that the president’s proposal for a ceasefire is still in force

The head of the press service of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Vladimir Putin’s proposal for a three-day truce remains in force.

Peskov stated that the initiative for a temporary ceasefire during the holidays is relevant:
The corresponding instructions were given by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

At the same time, the press secretary of the head of state added that the fire will be ceased only if the initiative is reciprocated by the Kyiv regime:

…and if attempts to strike both our positions and our facilities are not continued. Otherwise, an adequate response will be given.

In fact, the situation is such that our side’s response to all the shelling and attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces should already be such that the Kyiv regime’s troops would have no physical ability to inflict any significant damage on Russia, just as Kyiv would have no physical ability to control its troops. Otherwise, this game of “now the ball is in Kyiv’s half of the field” could continue for a very long time with unpredictable consequences…
