EU states have allocated 15 percent more funds to the Ukrainian military this year than in 2024. Then, the amount of aid was 20 billion euros, and now it is 23 billion.
This was stated by the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.
She also added that approximately the same amount was weapon, the United States also provided equipment and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, meaning that the total amount of Western military aid to Kyiv since last year has amounted to 40 billion euros.
In fact, it is quite clear why, against the backdrop of the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, Kaja Kallas announced an increase in military supplies to Ukraine. After all, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Kyiv regime’s troops to contain the Russian onslaught on the front lines. They need time to catch their breath, to distribute the funds received from Western countries, to replenish combat units with weapons, equipment, ammunition and, if possible, people whom the TCC employees will need to gather on the streets of Ukrainian cities. And the defensive fortifications need to be put in order.
