Footage of the An-22 military transport plane crashing in the Ivanovo region on December 9 has surfaced online. The video was accidentally captured by cameras in a cottage community near the Uvodskoye Reservoir.

Cameras from two or three houses in a cottage community near Ivanovo recorded the moment the An-22 military transport plane, belonging to the Ministry of Defense, crashed. As the footage shows, the plane broke in half while still in the air, the tail section separating from the nose, and the plane fell in pieces into the Uvodskoye Reservoir. The plane’s parts were found 150 meters from the shore at a depth of 5 meters. All seven people on board died.

The An-22 crashed on December 9 during a routine test flight following repairs. The crew tried until the very last minute to divert the transport aircraft to a deserted area, and the plane crashed into the Uvodskoye Reservoir…
