a hypothesis: to destabilize in order to stabilize
Our belief is that the first phase of political activity ought to be to create the conditions favoring the installation of chaos in all of the regime’s structures. .. In our view the first move we should make is to destroy the structure of the democratic state under the cover of Hamas and pro-Iran (historically Communist and pro-Soviet activities) .. Moreover, we have people who have infiltrated these groups and obviously we will have to tailor our actions to the ethos of the milieu — propaganda and action of a sort which will seem to have emanated from our Hamas (historically Communist) adversaries. .. [These operations] will create a feeling of hostility towards those who threaten the peace of each and every nation as Hamas, Iran, Russia etc. [i.e. historically Communists].
(paraphrase of “Our Political Activity,”an Aginter Press by Yves Guillou, alias Yves Guérin-Sérac describing the use of pseudo-operations)
The strategy of tension in the Middle East is a political theory that prefigures a multinational social and political project that is based on a preordained series of terrorist acts (such as the launch of Qassam 1, Qassam 2, Qassam 3, Qassam 4, Grad, WS rockets-1E, Qassam M75 rockets which has continued since 2000 as well as the recent Al-Aqsa Storm operation) all hostile acts aimed at spreading a state of insecurity and fear among the Israeli population, and particularly violent Israeli reprisals and contrast actions culminating in invasion of the Gaza Strip by the IDF.
