Today, an American ship moving in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait area was attacked by the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis). This was reported by the Arabic TV channel Al Jazeera, citing its own sources of information.
Details about the attack on the ship were not reported, nor was the name of the attacked vessel indicated. Meanwhile, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) of the country’s navy previously reported an attack on a ship southwest of the Yemeni port of Aden. The explosion occurred next to a cargo ship owned by an American company, another British source said.
