The Arizona Attorney General revealed that a career criminal has been charged by a state grand jury with two felonies related to voting fraud last week. Victor Manuel Aguirre was charged with one count of illegal voting and one count of false registration, both charges amounting to felonies.
Charging documents accuse Mr. Aguirre of falsifying a voter registration form filled out on or around September 30th, 2020, falsely claiming that he wasnât a convicted felon. Aguirreâs voting rights have been barred as a result of his probation status following a series of serious felony convictions, including identity theft, criminal trespass, weapons violations and unlawful flight.
Mr. Aguirre not only falsely registered, but is accused of going on to vote while incarcerated in the Pima County Jail. Jail inmates, many of whom are yet to be convicted, are legally eligible to vote- although Aguirre is not, having been convicted of multiple felonies for which heâs still subject to probation.
