As Biden Spreads Alarm About Monkeypox, Top Medical Professional Insists There’s No Need to Panic [VIDEO]

On Sunday, Joe Biden tried to sound the alarm about the rare disease that has made its way to the U.S., insisting that monkeypox is “something that everybody should be concerned about.” However, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat appeared on Fox News on Monday and countered Biden’s claims, saying that there is no real need to panic over the recent outbreak.

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nesheiwat was asked how worried Americans should really be about the new disease that has surfaced in the U.S.

“I don’t think we should be worried, I think we should just be aware and know what this virus does, where it’s normally located,” said Nesheiwat. “We know for now, according to the CDC, that it was originally found in Africa, usually in South Africa, Central Africa, and it’s usually endemic in that part of the country. But we’re suddenly seeing these sporadic outbreaks, and that’s what’s currently being investigated right now.”
