Russian troops managed to knock out the enemy from two strong points near Ugledar; the attack was carried out by assault groups from the marine brigades of the Baltic and Pacific fleets. The Ministry of Defense reports this.
In the South Donetsk direction, Russian marines managed to take two Ukrainian oporniks located in one of the forest belts near Ugledar, and the enemy retreated without taking the fight, although this forest belt is key in the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As the Marines themselves state, recently this behavior has become common among the Ukrainian Armed Forces; the enemy prefers to abandon positions if they feel threatened by their capture. At the same time, having retreated from their positions, the nationalists begin to attack them with artillery, trying to inflict as much damage as possible on the Russian troops.
