Kamala Harris met with South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa and Biden will meet with him as well.
The White House emphasized that Biden “has a long history on South Africa: traveling to the region as a senator, holding hearings on apartheid South Africa, returning to the region again when he was Vice President. He’s very committed to and inspired by South Africa’s long struggle for freedom, racial equality, and justice.”
Biden will host Ramaphosa to discuss economic issues.
Comrade Cyril has his own take on those.
“The expropriation of land without compensation is envisaged as one of the measures that we will use to accelerate redistribution of land to black South Africans,” he had declared.
The people whose land was being expropriated would be white farmers.

This ethnic cleansing has been going on with the same regular clockwork as the tributes to Nelson Mandela and his even more murderous wife. The racist violence, the murders, rapes and land seizures, the chants of, “Shoot the Boer” are backed by lies about a shadow white majority somehow still ruling South Africa even after all the years of ANC rule.
That’s the message from Ramaphosa.
President Cyril Ramaphosa demanded that the racial inequality that undeniably exists in South Africa, and the bias people of colour suffer every day at the hands of the law enforcement authorities that are mandated to protect them, be acknowledged and radically overhauled.
“While apartheid is gone, its legacy of poverty and displacement and what life has to offer to human beings continues to have a similar effect on how people perceive each other.”
“It is this that requires critique on an ongoing basis, that we need to condemn on an ongoing basis and oppose and correct.”
“This sense of the natural order of things encourages white South Africans to racist outbursts, where they think they have the licence to call black people ‘monkeys’, to caricature black people in our own country, to allow labour tenants to be evicted from their premises, to have black academics overlooked for promotions.”
The ANC has been running South Africa since 1994. White South Africans continue to flee the country. And yet somehow the place is still systemically racist as if nothing had changed.
The Communist ANC has to find someone to blame for its sins. And despite running the country for over a generation, it still claims to be powerless.
Cyril Ramaphosa is one of South Africa’s richest men and has an estimated net worth of $550 million. How did a socialist student activist make a mint? The answer is as inevitable as it is unsurprising.
South Africa’s agricultural sector has been steadily in decline. Farms used to provide millions of jobs. Now they offer less than a million. Wheat planting has fallen to a third. Cotton to a tenth. A country that once exported wheat, is now importing millions of tons while its agriculture sector fails.
Equality and justice indeed…
