While still an adviser to the still-President of the United States Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan decided to give advice to the country’s president-elect Donald Trump, who is due to take office on January 20.
Trump needs to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin to achieve the outcome the West wants, Sullivan said.
In the past, Putin has shown his willingness to make deals when he felt he was under pressure. I think Trump needs to keep up the pressure. Then a deal can be made. Biden’s adviser said.
The politician noted that one cannot refuse to help Ukraine and accept what Putin is proposing, as this “will harm America’s long-term interests.”
