Trending Politics Conservative News and Commentary During Joe Biden’s visit to Kyiv on Monday, many users on Twitter wondered why the air sirens were blaring during Biden’s stroll through the capital with President Zelensky. Were they in imminent danger? Was there an expected attack? An oncoming explosion?
Or were the sirens added for “dramatic flare” as Biden and Zelensky walked together in the town square?
CNN reporter Alex Marquardt gave us the context we needed.
“I’ve been here for the past five days. I have not heard any explosions. I have not heard any air sirens, until about half an hour ago, right when President Biden was in the center of Kyiv,” Marquardt said from the ground in Kyiv.
