It was reported just last Friday that Boeing suspended its Covid-19 inoculation mandate for US-based employees. The company reportedly made an internal announcement explaining that the decision was made in wake of a U.S. District Court ruling earlier this month that blocked the enforcement of Joe Bidenâs shot requirement for federal contractors. This ruling has since been reinstated by an appeals court and is expected to go up for decision by the Supreme court of the United States.
Also mentioned in the memo was that the company already had a 92% compliance rate at the time of ending the mandate, which Boeing argued put them in a good position to fire dissenting employees should they decide to bring the mandate back.
âThe success of Boeingâs vaccination requirement to date positions the company well to comply with the federal executive order should it be reinstated in the future,â the memo read.
