The deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027 with the entire USASOAC Chinook fleet expected to be completed by early 2030.

Boeing has secured a $240m contract from the US Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASOAC) to remanufacture five more MH-47G Block II Chinook helicopters.

The latest order follows USASOAC’s acquisition of four MH-47G Block II aircraft in 2024.

In December 2023, Boeing was contracted for six of these new-generation units in a deal worth $271m.

With the latest award, the total number of MH-47G Block II aircraft under contract for the Army has risen to 51. The deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027.

Boeing anticipates that the entire USASOAC Chinook fleet will be completed by early 2030.
