The FBI has posted a new wanted poster for the man who gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel earlier this week.
Images featured on the poster show the suspect traveling inside a taxi cab and walking along a New York City sidewalk. The poster reiterates that the FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the gunman’s capture.
“The FBI’s New York Field Office is assisting the New York City Police Department in seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the unknown suspect responsible for the shooting death of a 50-year-old male victim outside of 1335 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York, at approximately 6:40 a.m., on the morning of December 4, 2024,” the poster reads.
Both the NYPD and the FBI are searching for the suspect, who allegedly shot and killed Thompson in what authorities are referring to as a “targeted attack.”
The suspect fled the scene after “laying in wait” for Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel, where he was on his way to attend an investor’s conference. Thompson was pronounced dead shortly after 7 a.m. after he was shot at least once in the back and once in the right calf.
The gunman then fled on an electric bike and was later seen entering the Port Authority bus station shortly after the attack, leading investigators to believe he is no longer in New York City…
