BREAKING: Suspected Chemical Leak At YMCA Sends A Dozen Kids To Hospital

13 individuals, one adult and 12 children, went to a hospital after they reportedly started feeling ill and had trouble breathing due to a reported chemical leak at the Mission Valley YMCA in San Diego, California.

“The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department responded to a reported chemical leak at the YMCA located in the 5500 block of Friars Road,” NBC 7 San Diego reports.

It’s believed the affected people were exposed to chlorine.

The cause of the leak is still under investigation.

“Numerous emergency services, including Hazmat and other agencies, are currently on the scene in Mission Valley, California, where a mass casualty incident has been declared due to a chemical spill,” Rawsalerts noted.
