Two Marines deployed to the U.S. southern border passed away after their civilian rental vehicle was involved in an accident near Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
A third Marine went to a local medical facility in serious condition.
According to the New York Post, their vehicle “dropped into a 10-foot ditch and rolled over Tuesday along a narrow highway.”
UPDATE: Investigators are working to determine what caused a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in New Mexico that killed two Marines deployed to the southwest border mission and critically injured a third.
