As election guru Dave Wasserman reported in signature fashion: “I’ve seen enough: Janet Protasiewicz defeats Daniel Kelly for Wisconsin Supreme Court. The result flips ideological control of the court from conservative to liberal, a huge victory for the pro-choice side.”
Protasiewicz, who is a Milwaukee County circuit court judge, will now surely defeat conservative Daniel Kelly, a former state Supreme Court justice. Her win comes in the face of Republican dominance of the state’s highest court in the critical 2024 swing state. The race shattered spending records on state judicial elections.
