The United Kingdom has been one of the most active participants in a proxy war between Ukraine and Russia, offering up large amounts of military and humanitarian aid to the embattled country.
The UK is the second largest donor of military aid to Ukraine, giving over $2 billion and pledging to train tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers over the next year.
Their stance as Ukraineâs most committed supporter in Europe has certainly drawn the ire of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has had a tense relationship with the UK for years.
Still, an ex-British General warned that the country would not fare well in a hot war with Russia, going so far as to say that the country could run out of ammunition after just one day of conflict.
The issue comes as the British defense ministry has had its budget repeatedly cut by the government.
