Bulgarian Parliament Passes Amendment To Protect Children By Banning On LGBT Propaganda In Schools

By Staff Writer

At the initiative of Vazrazhdane, the country’s leading patriotic party opposition party, Bulgaria’s parliament passed an amendment to the Law on Preschool and School Education by a vote of 159-20, with 10 abstentions. The move is a blow to globalist interests which have been trying to force the country to adopt pro-LGBT policies in an attempt to subvert the country’s traditional culture.

The amendment to the law bans the “propaganda, promotion, or incitement in any way, directly or indirectly, in the education system of ideas and views related to nontraditional sexual orientation and/or gender identity other than the biological one.”

The parliament also approved a separate text that defines “nontraditional sexual orientation” as “different from the generally accepted and established notions in the Bulgarian legal tradition of emotional, romantic, sexual, or sensual attraction between persons of opposite sexes.”

The amendment, promulgated into law by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, embodies the spirit of the Bulgarian constitution, which stipulates that marriage is only allowed between a man and a woman, and supports the country’s Orthodox values.
