Prior to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I was a casual follower of political goings on, and I admit that I didn’t know that much about radical Islamic terrorism beyond reading the occasional news story on an overseas terrorist attack, many of which took place in the Middle East.
But like many Americans, the 9/11 attacks changed me. Civilians were targeted. Within our borders. On a large scale. And unlike the 1993 World Trade Center Islamic terrorist attack that killed six, this one claimed a lot more victims.
