Some central Ohio schools shutter for low attendance amid ICE activity

At least one group of Spanish-language bilingual schools is closed Dec. 19 due to low attendance amid reports of Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity throughout Columbus.

Columbus Bilingual Academy North, West, and Central decided to close due to significantly low attendance, according to Michael Mora Brenes, principal of Columbus Bilingual Academy North. The Columbus Bilingual Academies are a group of charter schools focused on bilingual education, with a focus on daily Spanish instruction.
